Results of Sundays Race
Three
boats came out for a very good race on Sunday. The rain held off and the wind
was “interesting”. At times the boats were moving along at good speed and at
other spots, they looked parked. Lots of people came to the breakwater to watch
and take pictures of the “pretty boats”. The finish was very close with Peri
Peri first across for line honours and a corrected time win of 55.2
minutes. Sixpence caught a zephyr to sneak across the line ahead of
Wild Abandon in a time of 55.35 minutes. Wild Abandon lost sight
of the finish line and did not finish, but they did get some nice
crabs.

to the crews who raced. The next one is scheduled for March 6. We hope to have
more boats for that one.
Next Race is scheduled for Sunday the 6th of March... Hope to see you there.

Winter Sailing Series for 2016...
As Sunday races still seem to be the best option for boats, I am scheduling them for the 1stand 3rd Sunday of each month. That would make the first race Sunday, Feb. 7. and the next race, Sunday Feb. 21. I will cancel races if I do not have at least 3 confirmed boats by the previous Friday. The races will start and finish from the end of the Cow Bay Marina Breakwater, at 13:00. There will be a skippers meeting at 12:00 on VHF Channel 09. Please feel free to tie up temporarily at the Cow Bay Marina Breakwater dock, at the finish of the race and we will designate an appropriate place to celebrate and tell stories about the race. Unless someone prefers otherwise, I will keep points as I have done in the past.
